James primarily leads the O*NET-based confirmatory job analysis work at MRI and has conducted job analysis for dozens of employers in multiple industries. He also writes guidebooks, research briefs and instructional presentations on the core aspects of talent-supply chain management.
He has provided technical assistance to Hope Street Group’s Sync Our Signals and Skilling America initiatives. Case studies on some of this work have been published by the National Fund’s CareerSTAT and the Rosalind Franklin Journal of Interprofessional Workforce Research and Development.
Prior to MRI, he worked with an insight firm in San Francisco on qualitative market research projects for clients including Nike, Microsoft, Capital One, and InCase. He holds a PhD in political science from the University of Dallas and has taught political theory at the University of Texas at Austin and Santa Clara University in California.
