2016 Spring Tennessee State Teacher Fellows Report
The 2016 Spring Tennessee Teacher Fellows Report includes survey results and recommendations to the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) from the Hope Street Group State Tennessee State Teacher Fellows and thousands of their peers. The Spring Report, focused on Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTI2), indicated that to facilitate effective RTI2 implementation, additional support was needed in four key areas: RTI2 scheduling and structure, school climates toward RTI2, communication around RTI2, and RTI2 resources and staffing.
Additionally, to further support RTI2 utilization, Tennessee teachers requested specific instructional resources and strategies. A majority of teachers requested resources and strategies for aligning appropriate interventions at Tier II/III/Special Education and for high achieving students as well as more professional development at the district and local level.
