Health Career Pathways
THERE ARE 1 MILLION JOB OPENINGS IN THE HEALTHCARE SECTOR.
We’re paving the #Pathway2OneMillion by bringing the right training & access to well-paying jobs to those who need it.
For the employer, to reduce job vacancies, lower turnover and increase diversity in the healthcare industry. For the individual, to know the skills they need for the job they want.
An employer-led initiative to increase demand-driven, competency-based career pathways to support individuals’ entry into, and career advancement in, the healthcare industry.
WHAT IS HEALTH CAREER PATHWAYS?
In partnership with the White House and the Advisory Board, Hope Street Group is leading this Sync Our Signals healthcare pilot to spearhead an employer-driven, competency-based career pathways system.
The 7 founding HCP backbone communities – composed of 15 healthcare systems, 11 community colleges & systems, 7 workforce boards, and 12 community-based organizations – will adopt a common career pathways model and support 1,000+ disadvantaged Americans with training and placement into jobs.
THE HEALTH CAREER PATHWAYS ALLIANCE
Hope Street Group is excited to announce the commitment of nine top organizations to lead our HCP Workforce Alliance, who will advocate, inform and support progress and greater industry adoption.
The Founding Communities
Health Career Pathways was announced by the White House on Monday, April 25th 2016, along with its three goals:
1. Working with healthcare employers to identify the jobs and skills most in-demand;
2. Upgrading training to give students skills and experiences most needed by employers;
3. Supporting job seekers, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, in advancing along career pathways to middle-class jobs.
